Day 24: Espot to camping just before Estaon

20km, 1500m elevation gain.

A really tough day today. Started out a little later than had hoped from Espot and had intended to just do the first section and then part of the ascent in the next section but because this would have meant dry camping (without a water source), we decided to crack on over the high pass. This was a real slog, in the hot sun without a breeze or shade, in the middle of the day carrying an extra litre of water because of the lack of streams in this area. S, L and I all made it but were pretty drained by the end and when it started to rain around 630pm, that was the cue for bed. Also hopefully the last time I buy this cheap freeze dried tortellini which has both times been disappointing.
