Day 23: Lac deth Cap de Pòrt to Espot

24km, 1000m elevation gain.

Another fantastic day. Got walking early to crest the first pass in the shade but from there the day was warm and fairly rocky until the final long dirt road walk into Espot. Luckily the breeze dried off our tents overnight. I am staying in a little Casa Rural in Espot - interestingly though I booked 3 or 4 days ago, they didn’t have my reservation. Luckily they had a room free. This place is pretty basic but at least I can wash my clothes in the sink and repack my pack. Off to meet L and S for a supermarket resupply and then dinner.
