Day 35: Nùria to Setcases

19km, 1200m elevation gain.

Got up early after the hail storm last night to pack up and get hiking, hoping to get to the summit before the storm hit. Forecast was for rain and lightning from 9am however luckily this didn’t eventuate. I officially reached the highest point on the GR11, at 2785m, interestingly some time after leaving the high alpine sections of the Pyrenees. The views were amazing and fellow hiker A was able to snap a couple of shots of me as well!

The descent was easy and an alpine refugio was serving breakfast so I snagged a coffee. In Setcases by 1pm and checked into a thoroughly mediocre and overpriced old hostal. However, during school holidays booking 1 day prior, beggars can't be choosers!
