Day 21: Benasque to just past Embalse de Moralets

About 26km, 1900m elevation gain.

Started out by catching the early bus from Benasque back to the GR11 where I met up with L, and two other hikers who were also completing the GR11 at the campground. We then started the long ascent - absolutely beautiful but I think I didn’t drink enough water, and by the time I got to Refugio de Cap de Llauset I think I was a bit dehydrated and felt quite nauseous. I perked up after a coke and decided to press on and try to do some more km. L and I hiked the next section together but were caught in an impressive storm rolling down the mountains during our descent and our last hour or two was soaked. We had aimed for a little cabaña noted on L's map but when we got there the roof was leaking, there was a lot of rubbish inside and stank so we though we would crack on a way and see where we got to. After another 30min or so the rain had eased a bit and we found a little riverside picnic area to pitch our tents, have a swim and cook dinner.
